Pink Christmas Amsterdam: the first gay Christmas festival
A gay Dutch organization has organized a festival called “Pink Christmas”, to be celebrated for the first time in Amsterdam and that will, among other things, include a living Nativity scene with two Josephs and two Marys.

Parties will be held, as well as an public street market, an public debates and Christmas religious services for LGTBs.
Frank van Dalen, head of the organizing group ProGay, said that the objective of the event is to increase the range of options for queer men and women during the Christmas week.
Van Dalen also believes that the festival will encourage people to reflect about homosexuality and religion.
Christian groups, particularly from Dutch provinces, have called for protest letters to be sent to ProGay and Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen. They are angry at the “spin” the group has given to the holiday.
Possible visitors can find more information about the program for the Christmas and the movie festival on www.pinkchristmas.nl and www.rozefilmdagen.nl

Excuse me? How about YOU learn English before you open your judgemental mouth?
I don't know where you got your hyphenation rules from, but I would love to so please do tell.
If there was a need for a hyphen in that phrase, it would have been in between "Dutch" and "gay". However, it is not necessary as the presence of the hyphen would not change the meaning of the phrase at all.
If you want to learn something, you could start off here: http://www.grammarbook.com/punctuation/hyphens.asp. Take a look a rule number four and bear in mind that these are suggestions and not imposed writing laws.
As for your own poorly structured and incorrect sentence, I won't even go into it. Send me a message if you want to know what's wrong with it.
first of all, what smythe just said was not only condescending and unnecessary but close to being slanderous.
what they wrote in the article was just fine actually. A gay Dutch org is the same as a Dutch gay org. The point is they are an organisation. doesn't matter if they are Dutch and gay or gay and Dutch, they're an organisation and I think we all understood that. the hyphen could indeed have been between gay-Dutch or Dutch-gay but definitely not Dutch gay-org.
either way I think you're both way out of order. the point was well understood and lets face it; none of us are perfect. cheers
No matter gay-Dutch or Dutch -gay, I won't change my love for Holland!!!

old news.. booooooooooo
Quite old indeed...nothing new on the EN version of the webiste....pity...well, happy holiday, guys.
I think it's a fun idea! Let's take Christmas back, which is in fact a Pagan celebration.
Amsterdam will need more than just a Xmas to become the EU gay capital (when was that? some 15 years ago?). And Holland should work harder or teaching the autochtone population manners and respect towards gays and foreigners in general. I mean, when kids (blond ones!) shout at you on the street (as it happened to me) "homo, fuck off to your country!", the Dutch society should start reflecting on itself.
